The joint target of this MoU is to create an umbrella initiative and cluster to foster cross-border and cross-sectoral
cooperation for freight transport information exchange between the region’s competent authorities and businesses
allowing the region to establish seamless data sharing between Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland while also
seeking interoperability and smooth extension to connected corridors.
The current MoU seeks to support and be prepared as early as possible for the implementation of eFTI Regulation in
2025, successful uptake during the first years into and preparedness for further steps between 2025 and 2030, then
