European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024

For one night only we will take over the whole Aparaaditehas and its surroundings to introduce the European Capital of Culture title year programme. On the stage will be Maris Pihlap, Alika Milova, Mari Kalkun and many surprise performers, whose new creations born from their collaborations will premiere that night.

European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 invites everyone to take part in the festive opening weekend of the title year and the opening ceremony in the heart of Tartu, on the banks of the Emajõgi River. Let's meet, dance, cheer - a unique year begins in Tartu and Southern Estonia.
