The aim of Digilab, the National Library of Estonia's digital laboratory, is to make the data held by libraries more digitally accessible and usable, promote data enrichment, research, and innovation. In Digilab, cultural heritage and information technology converge in the form of data, providing new opportunities for humanities and social scientists, data scientists, as well as students and scholars.
The National Library of Estonia or RaRa in short, is the custodian of Estonian national memory and heritage, and acts as the repository centre of the Estonian literature and national bibliography, the main information provider for the Estonian parliament and many other constitutional institutions, a national centre of library and information sciences, a site for the continuing education of librarians, and also as a cultural centre
The National Library is in temporary housing as we await the return to our main building in 2026. Find our more about the reconstruction!
